E.J. Zimlich was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and a graduate of McGill Institute. In his early work years, he was employed by Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad for 5 years.
He left the railroad to attend radar maintenance school at Fort Bliss, Texas through the Alabama National Guard. He was on active duty several times, last during the Berlin Crisis rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer W-2. He later was hired by Southern Industries Corporation in Mobile, Alabama and moved to Morgan City, Louisiana, where he lived and worked for more than 30 years. In 1992, he moved back to Alabama and found his calling in real estate.
E.J. has been a realtor for Century 21 since 1993 and became an associate broker in 1995. During his nearly 14 years in real estate, he has received numerous awards, including Gold Associate Award, Best of Baldwin Award, Century 21 Masters Club from 1995-2004, Million Dollar Club from 1994-2003, Top Producer at Century 21 SSM for the past 12 years and Centurion Producer in 2005. In the last eight years, his primary area of focus has been the Real Estate Owned and Foreclosure (REO) market.
In addition to his successful career, E.J. is devoted to his two daughters, son-in-law and grand-pets. He is very active in his church, St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley, having served on the Parish Council, Finance and Building committees and the Men’s Club. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, reading and watching TV.
